A dynamic energy contract is a type of contract with varying rates for electricity and gas, which fluctuate hourly with market prices. These prices are strongly influenced by supply and demand. When there is a lot of solar and wind power, tariffs tend to be lower, while they rise in colder weather.
A dynamic tariff is only possible for owners of a digital meter. However, it is not always easy to compare dynamic tariffs as the price you pay changes every hour. Prices mentioned in the overview are for reference only.
