Independent energy and telecoms expert with over 20 years' experience in the Belgian market. My mission: to help families and the self-employed save hundreds of euros each year on their energy and telecoms bills.
After my studies in Antwerp, I built my career at various companies in IT consultancy as an online specialist for, among others, major Belgian energy suppliers, a Dutch telecom operator and a number of financial institutions.
In 2007, I switched to the other side of the table and founded one of the first online price comparators for the Belgian market in the field of energy and telecoms. As an independent market analyst, I started dissecting tariffs, promotions and small print for those who really benefit from them: the end customer. That experience taught me how complex the market really is - and how little consumers know about it.
In 2018, I (temporarily) looked for some other professional places, but in 2021 I did a relaunch and founded DareToCompare.be. With a strong focus on continuous automation, we manage to keep these rather complex markets and products, always up-to-date and occupy an independent position in the market.
Today, I combine daily market monitoring with personal advice for many Belgian families and self-employed people. We make sure that every recommendation on DurfBesparen.be is based on actual data, not on marketing promises.
