Mega Online Flex is a variable rate. We always make the best possible estimate of the annual price of each contract. We calculate these according to the expected energy prices for the next 12 months. However, prices may change due to changing market conditions or government decisions. The price calculation is based on october 2026 tariffs.
Evert E. — Energy expert
To make all these tariffs and prices a bit more tangible, you will find here an estimate of advance payment amount and final bill for each different consumption profile.

How has the price of Mega Online Flex evolved over the past period? Has the price increased, or has the kwh price decreased? And how does Mega Online Flex compare with other tariffs in the market?
Keep in mind that Mega regularly gives discounts to new customers. As a result, their kWh price is often even more interesting than "standard price". The kWh prices in the chart are the standard prices without discounts.

Mega is a Belgian provider of energy and telecom services. The company supplies electricity, natural gas and dual fuel plans for households and self-employed customers, and it also offers mobile postpaid subscriptions. Mega is mainly known as a price-focused provider that brings several everyday services together under one brand. This makes Mega suitable for people who want to manage their gas, electricity and mobile service more easily. Mega mainly appeals to customers who prefer a digital approach and a practical way to handle home energy and mobile use.
Forewarned is forearmed. Mega Online Flex serves as the benchmark product in this comparison. In which areas does Mega Online Flex outperform other gas & electricity tariffs, and in which not so much?
If you don't need everything from this package, you can also choose to order only a separate component.
An energy rate card summarises the most important information about an energy contract, such as the type of contract (fixed, variable or dynamic), the price per kWh, the fixed fee, any indexation formulas, duration and termination conditions. You will also find information on discounts, green electricity, injection tariffs for solar panels, network tariffs and an estimate of the annual cost. Here you will find an overview of all current and past rate cards of Mega Online Flex.

Below you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about Mega Online Flex. Is your question not listed? Feel free to contact us.
Yes, Mega Online Flex is a indexed tariff of indefinite duration, i.e. the consumption price per kWh fluctuates every few month(s). The kWh price can therefore rise and fall during the term of your contract. Mega can alter the price formula at any moment, whilst giving a proper heads up to the customer. You can find all the price information and indexation formula in the tariff sheets.
If you have solar panels (or other generators), and you have generated a surplus of energy, you will receive a feed-in compensation from supplier Mega for this. Better, however, is that you also use all the generated energy yourself, so that you yourself take less from the energy grid. Because even though you get a small fee for generated power, the price you get (c€4.36 /kWh) is much smaller than the power you buy (c€20.51 /kWh), and you also pay grid costs, taxes, excise duties, you name it.
When you switch suppliers, your new supplier Mega takes care of everything. They will contact both your local grid operator and your previous energy supplier. Your switch usually follows 30 days after your request, but you can also choose a switch date yourself up to 6 months in the future. If you have requested a new connection or move, Mega also takes care of everything, and then everything can be set up even faster.
Consumers are always entitled to a free cancellation period of 2 weeks after application. For this, you need to contact your new supplier yourself, or contact your current supplier and ask them to stop the switch. Business users are not entitled to 2 weeks' notice.
No, consumers in Belgium are still allowed to switch suppliers for free, and without giving any reason. You are not bound to a fixed contract duration. However, sometimes early termination means you lose your welcome discounts. We therefore advise you to remain a customer for at least one year before requesting an energy switch.
When the original contract term of 1 or 2 years is about to expire, Mega will notify you. In this, they will offer you a new contract proposal with the same or similar tariff plan. This is the moment you should definitely come and compare your energy contract again on DareToCompare.be.
Mega Online Flex is only available in Flanders & Wallonia, not in the other regions.
Every promotion has an end date. That’s why we keep a historical record of expired discounts and promotions on Mega Online Flex. This gives you a better understanding of how prices, discounts and promotions have changed over time.
