Yes, Evident Energie Flexi is a indexed tariff, i.e. the consumption price per kWh fluctuates every few month(s). The kWh price can therefore rise and fall during the term of your contract. However, the consumption price always follows the same market indexes using a fixed price formula. You can find all the price information and indexation formula in the tariff sheets.
If you have solar panels (or other generators), and you have generated a surplus of energy, you will receive a feed-in compensation from supplier Evident Energie for this. Better, however, is that you also use all the generated energy yourself, so that you yourself take less from the energy grid. Because even though you get a small fee for generated power, the price you get (c€5.95 /kWh) is much smaller than the power you buy (c€18.90 /kWh), and you also pay grid costs, taxes, excise duties, you name it.
When you switch suppliers, your new supplier Evident Energie takes care of everything. They will contact both your local grid operator and your previous energy supplier. Your switch usually follows 30 days after your request, but you can also choose a switch date yourself up to 6 months in the future. If you have requested a new connection or move, Evident Energie also takes care of everything, and then everything can be set up even faster.
Consumers are always entitled to a free cancellation period of 2 weeks after application. For this, you need to contact your new supplier yourself, or contact your current supplier and ask them to stop the switch. Business users are not entitled to 2 weeks' notice.
No, consumers in Belgium are still allowed to switch suppliers for free, and without giving any reason. You are not bound to a fixed contract duration. However, sometimes early termination means you lose your welcome discounts. We therefore advise you to remain a customer for at least one year before requesting an energy switch.
When the original contract term of 1 or 2 years is about to expire, Evident Energie will notify you. In this, they will offer you a new contract proposal with the same or similar tariff plan. This is the moment you should definitely come and compare your energy contract again on DareToCompare.be.
