Ebem Basic Online is a variable rate. We always make the best possible estimate of the annual price of each contract. We calculate these according to the expected energy prices for the next 12 months. However, prices may change due to changing market conditions or government decisions. The price calculation is based on october 2026 tariffs.

To make all these tariffs and prices a bit more tangible, you will find here an estimate of advance payment amount and final bill for each different consumption profile.

Ebem is a Belgian energy supplier offering electricity and natural gas to households, self-employed customers and businesses. The company is active on the Flemish energy market and focuses on clear service and a more personal approach. Ebem combines standard energy contracts with local customer contact and digital account follow-up. This makes Ebem suitable for people looking for an electricity, gas or dual fuel supplier and who value accessibility, simplicity and a provider with Belgian roots.

You will also find information on discounts, green electricity, injection tariffs for solar panels, network tariffs and an estimate of the annual cost. Below you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about Ebem Basic Online. Is your question not listed? Feel free to contact us.
Yes, Ebem Green B@sic+ is a indexed tariff of indefinite duration, i.e. the consumption price per kWh fluctuates every few month(s). The kWh price can therefore rise and fall during the term of your contract. Ebem can alter the price formula at any moment, whilst giving a proper heads up to the customer. You can find all the price information and indexation formula in the tariff sheets.
If you have solar panels (or other generators), and you have generated a surplus of energy, you will receive a feed-in compensation from supplier Ebem for this. Better, however, is that you also use all the generated energy yourself, so that you yourself take less from the energy grid. Because even though you get a small fee for generated power, the price you get (c€6.10 /kWh) is much smaller than the power you buy (c€19.93 /kWh), and you also pay grid costs, taxes, excise duties, you name it.
When you switch suppliers, your new supplier Ebem takes care of everything. They will contact both your local grid operator and your previous energy supplier. Your switch usually follows 30 days after your request, but you can also choose a switch date yourself up to 6 months in the future. If you have requested a new connection or move, Ebem also takes care of everything, and then everything can be set up even faster.
Consumers are always entitled to a free cancellation period of 2 weeks after application. For this, you need to contact your new supplier yourself, or contact your current supplier and ask them to stop the switch. Business users are not entitled to 2 weeks' notice.
No, consumers in Belgium are still allowed to switch suppliers for free, and without giving any reason. You are not bound to a fixed contract duration. However, sometimes early termination means you lose your welcome discounts. We therefore advise you to remain a customer for at least one year before requesting an energy switch.
When the original contract term of 1 or 2 years is about to expire, Ebem will notify you. In this, they will offer you a new contract proposal with the same or similar tariff plan. This is the moment you should definitely come and compare your energy contract again on DareToCompare.be.
Ebem Basic Online is only available in Flanders, not in the other regions.
